My first UOA :)

Vehicle type: 2002 VW Golf ALH Engine
Oil type: Mobil1 5w40 T&SUV
Miles on vehicle: 69,840
Miles on oil: 9,890

Months on the oil: October 26 2005 – March 13 2006 (sample date)
Oil Sump volume: 4 L
Oil added: none
Air Filter: OEM paper, installed at 60,000 miles
Engine Mods: PP520 nozzles, CAT fuel filter (replaced at 60000 mi), Old Navy CCV device
Engine output: about 107 HP, 175 ft-lbs (from the nozzle supplier’s website dyno)
Fuel: biodiesel B3 to B10 blend, used 9 oz of Power Service White per 15 gallons during this oci. Averaged about 46 mpg.
Driving style: daily 35 – 40 mile each way commute, mostly interstate at 0 to 80 mph (70 to 80 mph whenever possible). Driven pretty hard. Have had the car since 12/03 (9,000 miles on the odometer). The only oil used by me over this period is either Delvac1 or M1 5w40, with a few minor 4 to 8 oz top offs using Rotella T 5w40. I think the 5,000 mile change was Castrol 5w40 by the dealer/previous owner.
Climate: 20 to 80 F (counting last weekend, mostly 40’s to 60’s). Vehicle garaged at night so normally no real cold startups in the mornings.

you can convert the soot number to the common % soot by weight using the table below. basically you're at 0.455% which is fine for a 10k UOA.

I keep asking: WHERE'S THE GOSH-DARNED SOOT !

Ahhhh-HAAA! Thanks, SUNRG.

Nothin' wrong with with a low soot level like that @ 10k miles!

Diesel on !
